The ALAMO INDUSTRIAL® McConnel® Swingtrim is designed for cutting hedges, grass and weeds, around waterways, under fences and other hard-to-reach areas. Using the articulated boom and the standard 4' sickle bar, the Swingtrim can cut grass, brush, and small trees up to 1/2" diameter, even below water without disturbing the root system. The Swingtrim, weighing less than 500-pounds, can be mounted on a compact 15 HP tractor. The rear mount allows for operation on either side of the tractor. The hydraulically powered boom has an 11' vertical reach, 14' left and right horizontal reach, and a reach of 6' at 45-degrees down. The hydraulic system is powered by the internal tractor pump and the tractor's PTO is not used. The CAT I, three-point hitch system makes the Swingtrim easy to mount and dismount. Measuring less than four-feet wide, the Swingtrim, mounted on a compact tractor, is ideal for cutting in and around restricted areas such as alley-ways, paths, gardens, etc.
